How NOT to Book an Appointment

Look folks, I’m a pretty reasonable guy. I try to remain professional and I return calls as quickly as I can, despite the fact that I really hate talking on the phone. The following is a prime example of how NOT to book an appointment with me.

I have made booking an appointment for a mobile massage as easy as possible by offering a whole host of online booking options. My calendars are all synced together to avoid any possibility of double booking. Syncing also marks off any time that I have other things, such as a music gig, or trips, or even a simple movie night, planned.

This madness exploded last night. It started with a phone call, well actually, SEVERAL phone calls.

AND then there are all the text messages:

I wasn’t really in a session, (my phone is never responded to during a session) I was at dinner before heading to a movie. I said I was in a session to perhaps give this creeper an opportunity to realize that I was not going to take the calls.

I’m not sure where this person found a $75 price. I have a couple of online specials running, but none that equal $75. And here’s a little hint: when you start offering a large amount of money over and above my fee, it’s a big red flag that you’re looking for something more than a massage. I offer many services, but a happy ending is not one of them.

Now, if this had been the end of the conversation, it is possible that I still would have scheduled an appointment with this client. I’d have made the boundaries very clear and we’d likely have had a fine session and everyone would have been happy. However, the phone calls and text messages continued.

My hours are clearly posted on this site, as well as on my Google, Yelp, NextDoor, MassageBook, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr pages. Blowing my phone up three hours before I open after a night of constant harassment leads to your number being blocked.
